RPM goes UP when clutching on upshift?
This is peculiar. Lately . . .
When doing a high rpm (4000-5000) fast shift,
I release the gas, press in the clutch, and the RPMS GO UP before I upshift!
Anyone have this? Could there be a mechanical or electrical glitch that could cause this?
I also notice that the RPMS take a long time to decrease when pressing in the clutch at other levels.
Disclaimer:
I have driven only manual transmission cars for the past 15 years, and have driven the TT for 6 months, and this has never happened before.
Gary Toriello

Yes..
I have the same thing occur, however, I haven't noticed it much since I don't rev the car often, as I'm still in the break-in period. I've had the car a little over a week, and notice this specifically when jumping from 1st to 2nd. I suspected that it was just the Turbo not winding down yet, as it only lasts for a brief moment. This is my first Turbo car, so I didn't realize it might be a problem..

I think it means your TT is confused because it has no name. Sorry, couldn't resist.
As usual, I have nothing constructive to say.
Pat R -- Arlington, Virginia

Being a wisea** (below) then asking for help doesn't work, Toriello.
Be nice to these TT folks and they will go out of their way to help solve your problems...TT or otherwise. Acting like you did below will make you persona non grata instantly.

Gee...and I thought he was grabbing his unnamed private part instead of the stick shift and gettng so excited that he was suffering unintended acceleration...

Blush. Thanks, Duke, but I'm no hero, just doing what needs to be done
Like Bruce Willis in Die Hard. Or maybe more like Bill and Ted in their Excellent Adventure...
Pat R -- Arlington, Virginia
