Default Rubbing/grinding problem..

Been a bad a few months for the car. As the brakes are applied, I hear this noise and sometimes I hear it at lower speeds. It sometimes throws a CEL. Ready with my VAG to capture the code next time. What the heck am I dealing with? BTW, A repair-shop could not find anything wrong with ball joints, arms, brake related or anything front end/suspense related either. He thought maybe the coilovers could be just making the noise. Installed them 2 years ago. The CEL is puzzling me. Any ideas...

Default That is possible. But what is with the CEL and the soft brake pedal a few times..

That's what confuses me. ;-)
