Sad news.... LarryTT's father passed away on Friday...
I am not going to go into detail, I will let Larry decide if he wants to post them.
But he does consider the forum a sort of extended family and asked that I pass on the sad news.
The funeral in on Tuesday at 11am. It is located at Mount Ararat Cemetery in Farmingdale, L.I., NY. If anybody needs directions please let me know or you can call the cemetery direct at 631-957-2277.
For those that don't know how the Jewish religion mourns a death, after the funeral the family sits Shiva. That is where family and friends come to the house to pay their respect. It is customary to bring some sort of food or fruit baskets, that way the family can concentrate on mourning and not cooking. It is NOT customary to bring or send flowers.
It looks like the Long Island group plans on paying their respect by the end of the week, probably on Saturday. Please contact me if you would like set something up.

Since there are quite a few people out there that are unable to pay their respects personally, but would like to do something, we would like to setup a memorial fund for Mr. Joffe. Details to follow.
If you need Larry's address, please email me. I would rather not post it on the forum.
I am sure I speak for everyone when I offer my heartfelt condolences to Larry and his family.
