Samco day-2...
thread from day one install:

First some questions.
Anyone got a picture of the K03 turbo to show how long that metal opening sticks out? I'm worried the Samco isn't deeply covering the turbo inlet with the clamp securely on the overlap. With the turbo end of the hose hidden, it's such a guessing game. And some of you said not to overtighten the clamp on the Samco's silicon.
What are the dangers? Hose coming loose at the turbo end, raw air getting in and killing the turbo? I've started the car, but haven't driven it, so no boost yet.

Pic 2: how to hug...

I'm 5'11 and I had to get my feet of the ground and my body onto the engine to reach with my arm fully inserted into the opening with the red circle. I would bend my elbow to reach across to the turbo. Experiment with where to slot your forearm as there are several hoses which forces your hand to end up in various positions, but with the right position, reaching as far as I can, I can nearly get my thumb/index finger around the clamp around the Samco.
My body had to back off a bit to allow my right arm to reach through the airbox opening to complete the hug when I needed the 2nd hand in there.

answered my own question...
Found a pic in this post:

Great, I'm fairly comfortable that the Samco is secure on the turbo given how long the metal opening on the K03 is. Time for a drive!
