saw a white 135i today on the road.
looked like crap. it has virtually no character on the road! looked sort of Kia-ish....
there was a white MKV GTI behind it...which looked WAY more aggressive in every way.... after my test drive of it a few months ago, i was sure i really didn't like it too much...but after seeing one driving on the freeway, i'm certain i'm not fond of it. |
right idea....wrong execution styling wise>>>>
but BMW has never been about style.....IMO

+1 post

^^^This is pretty stylish, but an unfair argument. <img src="http://www.weblogsinc.com/common/images/1376162283883584.JPG?0.34984475629752476"> ^^Pretty sure you'd hit this, Hans! <img src="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/graphics/2008/03/12/mfcar14.jpg"> ^^And I think the 507 is super hot. |
yep agreed>>>>
but...i was generalizing...there are a few homers they hit once in awhile on the looks....
Engineering wise, well that is a different story... |
BMW bikes are awesome....except for two things...
Can you tell what they are?

Awkward shape, worst color...but it's so fast...and cheaper than a 3.2
|
Here's one I'd love to have.

Trekking across the mojave?
|
I agree totally...but they have crossed into the tales from fugly crypts.
The design pre-bangle were passable with the center of focus being on the driving experience.
I hope the driving experience has been increased to compensate for the lack of style. |
Nah, but I guess that'd be the bike to do it on! ;-)
Wouldn't mind trekking the major Revolutionary and Civil War battlefields on the East Coast, though. Pioneer style, of course, with tent, camp stove, solar shower, etc.
|
Mine does not have those .......
<img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/UneekTT/R_4KtYwwTpI/AAAAAAAACdw/avH7OAS33Lk/s800/Krear.jpg" />
But it is a K bike and not that R bike that you posted - and mine is a lot older too - lol |
Agreed. Too bad, with such performance, that it is so aesthetically unpleasing.

BMW 507
Saw one of these for the first time at the Danville Blackhawk Museum; couldn't take my eyes off it.

Yea, but a lot of cars are faster and cheaper than a 3.2...
Good thing its not all about that or none of us would have Audis
|
Almost purchased one on Saturday.
Car is a rocket.
Deal didn't go down...Dealer was raping me on the price... |
Really?
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/53167/1_series.jpg"></center><p>I like it. fun car.
|
agree.... i like it too. good friend of mine doesn't. he's pretty southern. exact words were:
if a 135i was on fire, i wouldn't piss on it.
|
you don't like the Z8?
I think it's really nice and belongs in your collection IMO.

The owner of the company I work for has one, with less than 100 miles!
|
why bother?!?! Too good a car NOT to drive IMO...
|
it looked better than the M3 that was next to the one i saw...
although the M5 looked better out of the bunch.
|
Please - tell him to start driving it then
I know you do not know him, but someone has to tell him!
He also has a 2006 M5 with less than 1000 miles :( Not to mention he has many other cars, trucks and antique bikes |
