Scooby WRX STi

Scooby WRX STi
Wow, just read a comparison of the new Ford Cobra vs the new WRX Sti in the most recent Hot Rod. Pretty impressive. The Scooby pretty much tromped the supercharged Cobra in all tests. It even pulled a 13.2 in the ¼ mile.
I almost bought the std. WRX before my TT 180 Q. Glad I didn't. Anyone ever drive one of these things?
As much as I love my TT I've got to believe that the Sti would mow down about any stock or modified 108 or 225 TT around.
A few mods to the Sti could easily get 350+ hp. A real animal.
My favorite part of the TT is the interior styling and the exterior lines. The Sti takes a bit to get to like the exterior. Has anyone seen the interior?

I got an Evo you need to run.. :) 340+whp, and 11.80 .. Not too shabby for about $4k in mods..
Stock, they're ok, but their 5th gear is horrible.. My friend describes 5th like hitting a wall.. well not exactly, but up against my car on the highway.. Up to about 110 (where he shifts to 5th) we are about even.. Let me clarify that was when he was BONE STOCK... Then once in 5th gear I walk like hes a ford fiesta.. Im having my fun now, but once he starts modding it, its all over.. not even race gas would help a soul..
An APR stage 3 S4 thought he hed give a modded Evo VIII a run on the highway.. Big mistake.. It was actually a few runs that they did on the highway.. Even with the APR S4 running RACE GAS, and the Evo running 94 (mods for the evo, included FMIC, cams, Fuel pump, injectors, turboback exhaust, IC piping, clutch, and intake) the Evo still pulled.. Two totally different cars, but man is that Evo is one sick puppy when messaged a little..

ya even my slow pig of a car has laid the smack
down on many a WRX (not STi) on the highway..those things over 100mph are gutless...STupid cause down low like less than 50mph they got some good grunt.

lol.. I have no idea how the tranny is on the Rexs, but
Im begging my friend to do himself a favor and replace 5th with something taller.. A tranny rebuild is $900 for his car, and he keeps saying he will not send in a perfectly good tranny to get rebuilt, so I tried to tell him he needs to use the clutch less when shifting.. Not working though.. After hes modded, he'll probably have enough power that he'll walk on me in 5th like I was standing still..

I got my *** handed to me by my cousins WRX Stage 4
Stage 4 turbo XS, he ran a cool 12.8 @ 107 in the 1/4 on pump gas!! His car is set-up for road course events and it handles very well. I also have a friend who has a STI and the car is very impressive, I like the electronic differential, very cool. With just a turbo-back exhaust you can run a 13 flat with that beast. Go to this link to see video of one of the STI's at my last track day.

http://www.inflava.com/gainVIDEO01.htm</a
