Default Search forum sucks..Anyone have tips on Coilpack replacement?

I just put in new plugs this weekend. I am assuming that the coilpack(s)(FWD 180 MY2000) is the plastic box that sits over number 1 and 2 plugs? I've been having some acceleration problems lately, and want to replace the coil pack before it damages the Catalytic converter...or maybe it is already damaged!

Default Highjack. Steve, Steve here. Noticing my oil temps aren't getting

past 180 degreees too often. Do you block air flow to you cooler when the temps fall? Thanks, and hope everything is going well!

Default Actually, you've already held them in your hand

when you changed the plugs. The coilpacks were the plastic cylinder assemblies you had to pull out of the block to get to the plugs!

Default Did you get a thermostatically regulated cooler? That will keep it shut at lower temps...

You can also add the thermostat inline if you don't have one now.

Default No I didn't, followed Schwing's plans and don't think there was one.

Though I'm a bit more North, Columbus, Ohio, so might make more difference. I hate having to cut into the braided lines and add more fittings. Might try putting the shield back in and keep an eye on it.

He replaced the original with a thermostatic Mocal, IIRC.

Default Steve...In your clime...>

I'd go with a thermostat. Not so critical down here, but up North it's a must...Will keep the cooler shut off below 180..

2 ways to do this...Outboard thermostat or an updated sandwich plate so you won't have to cut lines....... Check out the link below for info.

I'm probably going to go external on mine. You can get em with AN hook-ups or clamp on..

Mocal stuff..
