Default Shokan question for andrew.tt and others who have replaced airbag control module

I'm due for a new one and the part number on audipartsdepot doesn't list the p/n i'm looking for: 8N0959655A is listed for the module in my car. Can anyone clear up what number i should be asking for? Shokan lady on the phone won't give me part numbers to compare to, I have to give her the part number (stupid).

I guess if someone has ETKA and can look up the airbag control module for my 01 225 roadster that would be excellent. Thanks!

looks like you need to ask for 8N8 909 601 or its' older revision 8N8 959 643

8N0 959 655A or its' older revision 8N0 959 643A are for MY 2002 and up.

Default Do NOT deal with Shokan>

I've NEVER thought highly of them

Their prices for used stuff is generally close to the price you'll pay to buy new from Carson at Riverside Audi

If you're going to go used... car-part.com

Default Is that the new price? All I know is personal experinece>

as well as others I read on the forums

I called them half dozen times for parts and every time the price was maybe 5-10% less than new

IMO 5-10% less than new is a ripoff and I'll go new each and every time.

I bet you could find one from car-parts.com for ~ $100

Just giving you a heads up from personal experience, maybe you'll have good experiences with them... Just do your shopping is all

IMO a used unit should be $150ish... $285 seems high (in my book); did you check junk yards?

shockan does suck. i think i paid $280 for the part. i know i overpaid, but at the time i was at my wits end with the airbag light. i tried sending to airbagsystems for a reset, but it did not hold and they gave me my money back.
