Default Smoked a G35 last night......

Running late to a wedding here in Columbus, OH and was heading downtown. Traffic was pretty light. I'm going about 90 in the left lane and from an on ramp comes a G35 flying. He's the right of 3 lanes. I ease up on it and then it takes off. About the same time I had upshifted to 5th and also floored it. I hit around 140 and had left him behind. I needed to exit, so I slowed in came flying by. However, it was the wrong exit and I pulled back into traffic and then made the correct exit for 3rd street. I pull up to a traffic light and there sets the G35. He puts down his window and out comes a big thumbs up. His first words were "You buried me - what do you have in that car". 'It's a 225hp with chip and exhaust.' He says" I just got the car yesterday and it has 280hp and now I am wondering if I got the wrong car." Light changes and I make the wedding on time.

The G35 is a very pretty car though.

Nice..careful going so fast, though. Not sure our chassis/underpinnings are up to the task

Default right on!

although i NEVER encourage exceeding the speed limit. AHEM. lol.

i've raced a G35 sedan and a coupe and i'll say that the Sedan was absolutely no competition for my stock coupe (besides DV and Air Filter)....but the coupe was really tough, although we had some really tight twisties on the road we were on, so i took him....stock even!

i like the G35 coupe......i can't stand the 350z though, it just looks like ****.

Default Is it just me, or...

...does anyone else think that 140 in the city might be JUST a little too fast? I like to drive fast just as much as the next guy - otherwise, why buy a TT - but twice the limit (at least) in an urban area seems pretty foolish to me..

Default The road was I70 and there was hardly anyone on it. Nice, wide, and smooth - Large sweeping banked

curves. It was fun.
