Default So after a week with the Forge OO7 - I decided to give the GReddy RS one more shot....

007 was great - held consistent boost, nary a honk in vacuum or WOT. However - need to justify the $$$ spent on the Greddy. Plus I will admit - it looks cool in the bay :-)

I checked the diaphram with a flashlight - no micro tears so i'm figuring it's an adjustment issue. If 4-6 turns don't work - I might give the second spring a try since it's working for Russ......

Default another thing to try: if you have a pressure tester, saturate the valve

with soapy water and pressurize the whole system. Mine was blowing bubbles from the point indicated. I used some thread compound to seal it. If there's an integrity problem anywhere in your valve's castings/stampings/fasteners, this should show it.

how much do they go for? Are the performance gains worth the upgrade or a aftermarket dv?

Default how much do they go for?

You can buy it on Ebay... approx $165. But be carefull... there are replicas and clones that sell for $25! If it's too cheap, it's not a real one. You'll need adapters to convert it from a blow off valve to a recirculating valve, $100.
It's not a performance upgrade. It's a solution: if you're aggressively tuned (chip/boost machine/****, etc) and having DV issues with drivability, honking, torn diaphrams, not reaching expected boost, etc... the Greddy allows your engine to make the power, consistently, at elevated boost levels.
At factory boost an OEM 710N works fine.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GREDDY-TYPE-RS-BLOW-OFF-VALVE-BOV-NEW-GENUINE_W0QQitemZ180015982032QQihZ008QQcategoryZ42 610QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem">Greddy RS</a></li></ul>

Default I don't think the 007 is sugglish at all - and yes it's always worked with no hassles

like a DV should.
