Rupert Stadler: "We are the fastest growing premium brand in the world. This puts us well on our way to becoming the most successful premium car manufacturer in the world by 2015"

No operations guys make it to CEO's>>>>
or that rarely happens. It is usually the sales side that gets there...and there is a reason for it!
There cust index satisfaction survey's are up this year...but, it does not address folks that will not return to the brand after bad experiences over the last 10yrs.
In the end, if they do it...it will be in new (to Audi) owners....why do you think the designs look more mainstream??? GETS TO A BROADER MARKET!!!
Some designers will tell you, if you fall in love with it on the spot, it is a fad...good design polarizes you and makes you think about it at first..then drags you in...if it still looks fresh in a couple of years...well, then it is a good design..or so i have been told.
Stadlers background is in Finance...and came to VAG in a Sales and Marketing capacity...
Anyway..only time will tell...IMO<ul><li><a href="http://media.audiusa.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=9089">http://media.audiusa.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=9089</a</li></ul>

Well, I've said it before... they've about Bang & Olufsen'd me...>>>
...clean out of the building.
Pretentious, arrogant, presumptous -- used to be that M-B had those epithets hurled at them. Audi's asking for it now. Audi may think it knows my lifestyle, but frankly they can kiss my upwardly-trending psychographic.
As I said in an earlier post: I miss Audi -- the decently-made German car that you could feel smart about driving, without needing to show off like an NBA star.

2015? Pffffft.
He won't be around in 2009 if they don't start acting like a premium brand in the customer service realm. CSI may be up but they've lost a base that they may never recover... the second time burned.
A guy I know put it so succinctly after making the switch to Lexus, "Why does Audi make me feel like I'm to blame for problems that are obviously their fault?"
He was talking about his A6 2.7T. And this guy is a meticulous owner and careful driver. Except now he does so in a brand backed by a company that cares.

That comment just about sums it up...
They don't seem to understand (or care) what customers value... quality product, quality service.
If you don't have the first, you damn well better have the second.
Audi has neither IMO.
