so i havent traded my filter to a K@N but, is it worth the hype..

Not really worth the hype and could cause damage
Audi disrecommends oil charged filters, probably because they can foul the MAF.
I've had a K&N in and out a few times and other than the sound changing (louder intake), I noticed no difference in performance.
