Somewhere in a city called Toronto there's an underground parking lot, the drive-in happens to be over a mutant speedbump - upon entering there are no problems, yet on the way out the 'speedbump' on the other side is peak-ier and it was so that i clipped my exhaust on some asphalt :( TT drove funny, sounded funny, rough idle and i've been smelling exhaust fumes for two weeks now - i try to drive with the windows down and A/C off but that's quite difficult when snowing/raining ... At first i thought that my downpipe flange to K04 was loose due to the impact, went down to Brullen Exhausts down here in Markham and chilled there for a bit chatting it up with Richard and Alex. As you can see from the following pictures there are hairline cracks all along the first bend in the downpipe. The impact on the asphalt not only cracked that weld but also my hanger along the downpipe. Sigh - either way, upon further inspection it was concluded that the weld was weak in the first place and that's why such a crack occured. With proper welding, it should never ever crack. End result is that Brullen have very kindly suggested to not fix my old one but rebuild a better, more cross-membered (for support from such future issues just in case) whole new downpipe, which will take place tuesday since they have to take apart the cat-back, heat shield and driveshaft along with some sub-frame components, and no doubt i'll have pics. Due to the very restrictive space-allowance they welded up what they could just so it doesn't completely crack off in the meantime. Some pix ...

Saw this brand spankin new Turbo with diplomatic plates at Downtown Fine Cars while I was grabbing some 0-40 Mobil One for the 65,000km oil change 2 days ago :) at least the engine is immersed in some new M.One, keeps me asleep at night :) hehe

i've gone out in the middle of very cold fall nights and just raped the city streets front to back - clips of every part, 0 to 100km runs, middle of second to 180, middle of second to 160, basically lots and lots of video clips which are like 3-5megs. I could e-mail em to you if you'd like ...
