Default some quotes from CAR about the old M Roadster

i've always thought the M Roadsters were a pile of junk....and i was reading an old issue of CAR (the UK magazine) and found these choice quotes for you all since some of you on here like the M.

"The M-Roadster-- with an admirably foolhardy 321BHP still failed to feel like a sportster. Its ride was almost cassettingly soft, its steering supermini-light and the six-cylinder engine a silky companion that left you unaware that you were aboard a road rocket.........The M may have had fat arches and fatter wheels to ride beneath them, but it could still break traction like a locomotive on a leaf strewn like. An M roadster was selected for CAR's 1999 handling test, and while an M won few awards for precision, it got more laughs than a Lee Evans gig, slithering sideways like a crab on the run"

that's EXACTLY how i feel about them.

Default SOFT ride??????? good god!!

moms Z3 2.8 (hell even her 325xi wagon) had the stiffest ride of anything I've ever ridden in! And it was compounded by the leather wrapped bricks they use as seats. I drove that thing from here to Denver (450miles one way) and it was the most punishing road trip I'd ever taken.

Her current 325xi wagon will even rattle your fillings out and shake your kidneys up driving around town.

If thsts considered too soft I'd hate to see what perfect would be!

Default i totally disagree

one of my best friends has a Z3 2.8...he usually lets me have the keys when he is out of town....it has the sloppiest and softest handling of any german "sports" car i've driven. on top of that, there is NO steering feel whatsoever.

i've also driven a few M Roadsters, and while they are hella fast, they lack any FEEL to them and they also handle like crap.

just my opinion.

Default I didnt say anything about the handling....

you can have bad mushy handling and steering feel and still have a punishing ride over bumps, cracks and generally bad pavement

Lincoln town cars have a soft RIDE, BMWs do not.

Hell even my mom commented on how much softer the TT road around Duncan's busted up concrete streets compared to her BMW
