Can you tell me the location of the brake booster check valve? Dealer hasn't replaced the one that they think is making noises yet, but I finally had somebody else start the car for me and it made the noise. Sound came from right up front, almost dead center-ish. Sound right for the placement of that valve? or are they thinking kaka again?

Not sure but hope this helps.
I don't know much about brakes at all.. but I looked at the brake section for our cars:
the only "valve" they list on there is Part 16 connecting to Part A. I combined the images for viewing. hope this helps josh.

right, but my noise wasn't even near that. it was like it was coming from the radiator fan>
or something like that. in that area anyway. nowhere near the brake booster/cylinder. i thought these people were supposed to be trained professionals? they heard the damn noise and still think it's that?

You're replacing your front right wheel bearing, right?
In that case, www.alldatadiy.com might be a good place for you.. since it has walk thrus and pictures
on www.alldatadiy.com, unfortunately, I only have the 2000 ATC stuff.. and i'm not sure if there is any difference wheel bearing wise between the 2000 180QC vs. 225

yeah, and I assume they're the same...
even the rear bearings in the quattros are the same part number as the front from what I looked up earlier. I'm mainly just wanting to see an exploded diagram so I know exactly what I'm getting into tonight.
