Default Spacer info needed

My '01 225 Coupe is bone stock with 17"ers (so far!). I read about all you guys talking about spacers, but I have some questions. How do spacers affect the ride? I assume they'll improve handling a bit, but do they add stress to the suspension or drive components? And can anyone make any recommendations about these I saw on ebay?: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8007661292&fro mMakeTrack=true

Default I would not buy those on eBay...think about it...you are adding

as little as 3mm spacers all the way up to 25mm, the choices are endless pending how far you want to go. So, this is placed between the hub and the tire/rim. PUT SOMETHING ON THAT HAS HISTORY. H&R is great, ECS tunning provides some. Maybe I am weird, but don't go cheap when it comes to spacers. Vibration, hubcentric, to many variables to not get a reputable name!

Good luck bro!

Default So the spacers stress...what?

My 01 has 55K on it. I put abt 25K a year on it and am hoping to keep the car 4 yrs to abt 150K miles. If I put the spacers on- say 15/20mm f/r, what components am I stressing that might wear prematurely? Expenisive ones? Like there are any cheap parts on a TT! ;-)

Default There is much debate in regards to added stress. Personally, I don't worry about it...

Many have driven on spacers for thousands of miles without any adverse effects.

Go for it!
