Default Spare Tire question?

I figured someone in here may know.. I'm interested in buying a rim and tire that matches what is already on my car and I'm curious if anyone knows if it will fit or if anyone has a same size spare in their car? I have 18's for reference.

No, a full size tire will not fit in the trunk of a quattro roadster. If you ever get a flat, you will either have to put the tire on the passenger seat or leave the trunk open - no joke. One advantage of the FWD TT is it has a larger trunk and a full size tire WILL fit in its trunk with the lid closed. Rim size does not matter.

My 01 tt roadster came with a large black plastic bag included in the tool kit intended to cover your flat tire if you ever needed to ask your girlfriend to hold it in her lap for the ride home. I added my own bungee cord.

The black bag was standard issue for that reason

Default Depends on which engine

In the US, all 1.8L engines came with a spare, the 3.2L did not because they had to move the battery to the trunk to shoe-horn the engine.
