Speedometer question

Out for a drive when I noted an oddity on my AudiTT. Below 100kph, the speedo is marked in 5kph increments, while above it is 10kph.

Is this how they are all marked, with varying increments? (whether it is in mph or kph). I don't think I've seen that on a car before.

OBTW, it is a MY01,180CQ

Yeah the ones in KPH are marked like that.....you need to get it past 260 for a good view though
