stage 3+ and dual exhaust installed...
Well, installed the APR stage 3+ and the milltek dual exhaust for the FWD model - love the Milltek and the APR is great too - but, I have to say that I liked the stage 3 better than the 3+
Going to try and find a reputable place, maybe champion motorsports and dyno the car...at this point, looking at 360hp. much much more on the higher end, over 100mph vs. the stage 3 - before at 110mph car felt like it had no more power - now, at 130mph still have 22lbs and 100% of the power - pulls like crazy...but, higher end is hard to use which is why I like the stage 3 better.
On a side note, for those stage 3 owners out there, you may want to check your water lines that came with the APR kit - if they haven't blown already then maybe on their way out - neighbor had a gti with the stage 3 and hoses blew (melted from the exhaust heat) because it's too near the exhaust - when I took mine out the other day they were on their way out - one of them had the seal almost completely melted and the hose was starting to open up.....
Had some custom made aero (F1) hoses done for under $200.00 to withstand 300 degrees - I believe the ones from APR withstand up to 100 or 120.
At first looks the turbo is the same size, what changes is the impellers and wastegate from what I could see.
Let's see what the dyno says...
P.S - PSI holds at 19-20 until about 120mph (don't ask me how many RPM's because I didn't bother to look) which then jumps to 21lbs and at 130mph jumps to 22lbs - had to stop at 130mph - ran into traffic...

Re: so did you lose some power down low?
I would have to answer yes to that - haven't looked at the APR dyno graph, but based on personal experience I would have to say yes - what is nicer if you drive the car everyday is that it's much, much smoother than with the stage 3 - but for obvious reasons - I believe they did this to attain more power in the higher rpm's, etc...
also, there are no more spikes in boost and also holds boost alot better and for an extremely longer period of time - I did not loose any boost until I actually let go of the accelerator at 130mph....never the case with the stage 3.
great product - just liked the low and midrange better on the stage 3 - but as everyone knows, you can't have the best of both worlds unless you do a twin turbo package...
