Steering issue
HELP. I have an mk1 Audi TT and randomly when driving, at any speed regardless of good or bad road or even corners, completely random my steering wheel will jerk a couple times and do that on and off. Speeding up or slowing down doesn’t do anything. The jerking is random and is pretty strong and unexpected. Any idea of the problem? I’ve looked on forums and haven’t found anything.

I did. It’s between the min and max line. Was thinking possibly steering rack but the power steering even is fine. I checked the tie rods and stuff and all of them seem to have little play in them besides my driver side tie rod has enough play where I ca wiggle it back and forth a bit. But not loose enough to jerk the wheel I don’t think..
