Default Steve - Help me figure this out, do we NOT want 4bar software?

I am confused, according to the post that I started below, we might not want APR to re-write the software - or no, we do want them to.

Please help me before I look like even a bigger idiot than I already am, I am getting ready to email this guy, and I might not if you say no.

Thanks,

A

Default Honestly?......>>

Look at it from their perspective.....Time and Money. A few guys have asked for Modshack Stg 3 specific tuning. This resulted in Keith seeking me out at TT-East to discuss. Realistically though how many could they sell? My mods seem to work very well on various chip platforms with no programming changes. They are not radical enough to need major code re-writes but result in pretty good bang for the buck gains with simple changes and adaptation doing the rest. To optimize them, then yes it would be worthwhile (to us, maybe not to them). The only big changes necessary for absolute perfection is MAF signal scaling, and Han's "secret" mod is going to address that. I dunno....They need a car to tune if they're willing to do it... The problem is, the market has become so fragmented with Direct port, Hard chipped, and 3 major players out there that it may not be worth it to them. If the 225TT was a big enough market, we'd have stage 3 by now...

Default why not use a "test case" and have APR prove it on their dime??? >>>

you can revert the programming if necessary....then go from there....if it works and we can document it, then it is to there benefit...but i WOULD include Dyno time too...FWIW, to at least get some data.

I am curious as what they think they can make "better" against a 4bar...the injectors are getting close to maximum tolerance from efficiency perspective....

Default But.............A stage 3 from APR is going to cost $$$$, and if a little software work for....

$500 to each of us, would then get some to move from GIAC and REVO, then it might be a worthwhile investment. Particularly if you can keep your customer base with your product and not moving away.

I think the boys down in Opelika are a good bunch and would hopefully do a little fine tuning.
