Default Strangest thing just happened in the TT.

Driving along with the engine running perfectly when I stopped at a light and the car just died. Couldn't restart it but there was no CEL and everything seemed ok... the cranking was strong except it didn't want to fire so I called for a flatbed. The police stopped by and blocked traffic and we talked for over a half hour while we waited for the tow. Went to the car to answer my ringing cell phone and decided to give it a try one more time. The car started right up and everything's cool now. I wonder what that was. Strange.

Sounds like an immobiliser issue, but weird.

Just happened again! And when the key is to the on position there's no CEL indicator lit up.

vag the car. I had the same issue and it was the cam sensor (if my memory serves me well).

That's what my mechanic thinks it is. The flatbed is on the way.

I had this and it was a dying fuel pump...no CEL so tough to diagnose - took a while.
