STaSIS Motorsports came into Denver with high hopes for a top 5 finish only to miss it by one place and with a new driver.

Chip Herr qualified strong in his #17 STaSIS Motorsports Clear Capital MAHLE powered 1.8t quattro in 5th place at a 1:21.321. Right behind Chip was newcomer to World Challenge TC Adam Pecorari in the #18 at a 1:21.327. Adam was filling in for Freddy Baker as he had a prior obligation. Jeff Courtney followed up at a 1:22.157 for 15th place.

At the beginning of the race Chip Herr in the #17 car got his typical but amazing launch from the 5th place spot to drag racing Pierre Kleinubing to turn one. Chip was unable to take the 1st place position from Pierre and was forced to take turn 1 and 2 from the outside line. Working though turn one and two Brandon Davis was able to slip by Chip on the inside line to take the number two spot. Coming out of turn two Randy Pobst from the inside line worked past Chip and the two rubbed some paint causing Chips car to hit the wall and blow a tire. This unfortunate incident ended Chips race early.

All problems for Chip Herr aside the leaders weren't to be Audi-free as Adam Pecorari
soon began making things difficult for the front runners in the #18 Fred Baker Audi/STaSIS Audi A4.

On lap four Pecorari got past Davis for 3rd and started working on Curran who was at the time all over Kleinubing for the lead.

Going into turn nine, as Curran was making an overture on Kleinubing, Adam Pecorari had a huge run on the Acura duo and tried a smoking dive to the inside of both of them and for about 2 or 3 hundred feet led the race!

Adam slid wide allowing Kleinubig and Davis by and dropping Adam back to 4th. By the end of the race Adam ended up a very impressive 6th in his first World-Challenge race. Adam Pecorari in his STaSIS Motorsports Fred Baker MAHLE powered Audi A4 also set the fastest lap of the race and a new track record.

Jeff Courtney also had a very impressive run starting 15th and working his way up to 10. Jeff was making very good progress up the field until some contact with Dino Crescentini caused some damage to his car. Jeff slid back to 12th by the end of the race due to the damage. Jeff's 12th place finish has allowed him to keep his comfortable lead in the Rookie of the Year race.

With Denver behind the team the rig continues east to Wisconsin and Road America. If you happen to be at the race please stop by and say hello.
