Stumbling at low RPMs.... again.
I'm getting a stumble or hesitation while accelerating, relatively low RPMs (say between 1000-2000), VERY noticable in 1st and 2nd (think: a partial pull of the e-brake for a blink) but it's there in 3rd and almost unnoticable in 4th. VAG-COM says everything is ok. Replaced the temp sensor with a new green part a few weeks ago. All hoses connected and unbroken. New, pricey DV (name escapes me at the moment). Modshack stage 3.
Any ideas? It's getting quite annoying... |
does it stumble only under boost?
|
How many miles?
What are the numbers for measuring block 32? (MAF check). Checked for misfires?
Could be fuel, plugs, coil paks... |
read the post again...what boost am I talking about at 2K? lol
|
25K mi. on APR chipped car, VAG-COM challenged driver. How to get those block #s?
|
Easy...
Plug in the VAG, turn on the key (no need to start), go to engine/measuring blocks, and input 032 on the first section. Note + or - and give me the numbers!
Also check for faults and codes... |
i'm curious to see what the result is..hope he responds

Re: similar problem
i took my car to the dealer, let it sit overnight for them to check and they say that they don't notice the issue and no fault code comes up. i don't understand how they cannot sense the 'hesitation, stumble, lurchiness, ****e' condition when driving out in 1st or 2nd. i'm seriously questioning the Audi technicians...

sitting in the car right now...

and here is what I get. Also, I have to correct my previous post. The stumble happens more like 2500-3500 rpm. (It's hard to drive this car and a big straight-6 and keep the rpms straight in your head... ;)

I think I see the problem...>>
A MAF going south. It would normally be +/- 5% for the partial throttle. With a Mofo you usually see a slight Rich correction (negative 4% or so). The +11% means the O2 sensors are trying to correct for not enough fuel. In simple terms, your MAF is not putting out a good enough signal to keep it all balanced....
