Default Summer Audi Expo - Update (long)

A quick update for those who are interested in attending, exhibiting, or showing their cars at the Northeast Audi Owners Club Summer Audi Expo.

I had a chance to go out to the new site with a few of the other organizers last weekend. Wow! This is going to be awesome! First of all, the building we are holding the show in this year is *huge*. We could easily fit the entire show from the last few years, including the parking lot, dealership, and most of the neighboring Lexus dealer *inside* this building. See pic above..(which still shows only about 40% of the space in the building!)

We will be able to have more vendor space - including the large trailers, inside the building. This will be much more like a true "auto show" in terms of facilities...

Due to the extra space, we are able to have:

1. More "show cars". For those who wish to "show" their car, we will be able to dedicate enough room *inside* to give you room to really show it off. Keep in mind that many of the "show cars" are just really clean Audis with varying levels of modification (some close to stock, others are custom creations). The exhibit fee for individual cars is $30. You can also look at it as "really good parking spaces" - heck, they charge that in Boston to park in the downtown garages!

2. More vendor space! In the past we've tried to keep the # of vendors around 20 or so, simply because we just did not have room for more. That's not an issue here! We'll have some smaller local shops, as well as "the big ones" as we've had in past events.

Other items we're working on for the Expo:
- Onsite dent/ding repair (Dent Wizard)
- Onsite dyno (TBA)
- "Nearby" part installation (at Fathers & Sons Audi - about 200 yards from the exhibit hall)
- on site food (there is a "restaraunt" in the exhibit facility that will be open).

Don't forget - the Expo/Car Show is just part of the weekend. We'll have an autocross going at the same time (on site, right next to the exhibit hall), a reception at Fathers & Sons Friday night, Saturday night "Happy Hour", and the Sunday Morning Cruise...

Those of you who have attended in the past will really enjoy the "bigger and better" version, and first-timers will hopefully get hooked! It's a great chance to meet other "Audi Enthusiasts", and look at all of the products available for your car. You get a chance to speak with the vendors in person, all in 1 location. Many vendors are offering on-site installation (of smaller parts and chips) and Father & Sons entire service bay will be dedicated to the installation of larger items (suspensions, exhausts). (These installs are done by one of our primary sponsors, Fathers & Sons Audi)

Since we also enjoy sponsorship from both AudiWorld and European Car, press coverage will be there as well!

The event is scheduled for August 1-3 (Expo is 8/2) and is now a bit closer to those in the NYC/Philly/CT/PA corridor in Springfield, MA.

Additional Event info, including exhibitor information, can be found at www.neaudi.com. We welcome all those who plan to attend to pre-register on this site, so that we can plan appropriately for event personnel.

I hope to see some more TT's there this year - especially in the show areas and the autocross!

I can't wait! Hope to see you all in August!
