Switching lanes to the A3 forum - thanks for all the great info!
I've been mostly a longtime lurker but was able to do a lot of convenience mods thanks to those who have gone before on this forum and wanted to say thanks.
I got a deal on an 06 A3 CPO with 10K miles from a private seller that I couldn't pass up so I'm selling my 04 CPO TT 3.2 coupe on ebay now. I'll miss the TT but the A3 is helping ease the pain and the hard truth is I really needed a car with a usable back seat.
Of course, now I have some fun new projects to get the A3 "just right".
I am hoping that someday the A3 board approaches the level this board has reached!

Good, now go away..
Im just kidding.. Congrats on the A3, did you get the S-Line 3.2? I really like those cars and as yourself, I will be departing the TT with something that has a more useful backseat and DSG..

Re: Good, now go away..
I'm going, I'm going!
Actually I went in what is probably an unusual direction - from 3.2 TT to 2.0T A3. It does have DSG which I grew to really love. The "S-Line" wasn't a trim package in '06 but mine is the "Premium" package with power seat, leather, homelink, auto-sensing wipers, and auto-dim mirror. Apparently mine is an "early build" which has fog light delete but comes with side and rear integrated sunshades which I really like and some other minor stuff like cargo nets. I'm working on adding a Nav system that will look fairly OEM.
The 2.0T A3 feels lighter and more nimble than my 3.2 TT and it's still a blast to drive so I think the only thing I'll cry about a few times each winter is the lack of quattro. I plan to confiscate and abuse my fiance's Subaru Outback on those days.

Really the 2nd owner...
It was owned by Audi for the first 900 miles. The family I bought it from had bought it from Audi and put about 9K miles on but they needed a full blow SUV to handle an extra kid and related strollers, etc, so sold the A3 to me.
I confirmed the CPO warranty transfers just fine fortunately and got it for about 5K below blue book so feel pretty comfortable. Of course I took lots of test drives, checked autofax, etc -- you can never be too safe...
