A tale of a ****>>>>
well, the other day in the mail, i recieve a package from Mr. Schwing....hmmmm what could it be you ask???? Well it is the mother of all ****'s, or affectionately known as BAMMv2 for the 225's, FULLY optimized!
First, i will only say, the quality of this milled product is OUTSTANDING! Gorgeous...and while its looks heavy, its actually very light. NICE!
You underestimate your talents Mr. Schwing!!!
Installed it on Wednesday and needed to run errands..no time to reset ECU's..or throttle bottle adaptions....within 12 minutes after being unboxed, its in the car and i am off. Returning from my errands, i begin to notice that the car seems smoother...and i start thinking..HUH??? I am FULL ON Modshack Stage 3, and it really is nice, but this seems even smoother. Power feels up, but i am wondering if its me, as i have just spent 5 days in a chrysler sebring conv.....
Today i finally get time to get out and run it and run some VAG numbers. I reset the throttle body...tuned the boost machine a bit (got a GIAC chip and its pretty sesitive to weather and tuning now) and drive hard!
Now its fully adapted...its unbelievable how this car feels like a v6...the only giveaway to me now is the whoosssshhhhh! Boost is indicating i am peaking at 22psi, and holding at 20-21...really.
Car runs like it just stole the hope diamond! Damn this is nice.
Idle value has dropped from 1.5 to 1.1....nice optimal, still rich, but not overely so. I am gonna drive its some more this weekend and report in....but i am thinking... I AM IN LOVE!
Photos tomorrow of my FILTHY engine bay....will remove the **** for pix....
I am now officially....ModShack Stage 3+....cannot wait for Stage 4! ;-)

BAMM's out of the bag....!!...>>
Since Hans has validated my findings, and all the numbers seem to be in line, I'm gonna pull the trigger on this one. Some technical detail....Similar to how we optimized the 180, I've essentially done the same for the 225. ID is slightly larger. Ends are precisely lathed to better match the Intake hose and TTDA dimensions.
MAF holder has a sturdier mount and is now intereference fit along with High tech 3M 5200 adhesive sealing. Cost of Housings has gone up a bunch and these take a lot of time to make...A lot of metal has to be removed as you can see.. Price will be $135 + postage and there will be a trade/upgrade program for existing 225 **** owners. MAF holders are very limited at this time (on order...4 weeks out) but trade/upgrades will allow recycling of your existing (square) housing and immediate build.... Email me for details and availability. I have 10 tubes arriving Monday.
This would be technically Stage 3+......Who knows what stage 4 will be....Gotta agree with Hans...Hard to believe it can get much better with simple, inexpensive bolt-ons......:-)

Yep...beast is a good word! >>>
Steve and i conferred on this one...these numbers are right on the edge. To much bigger and the car is running too lean....and that's not good. I think he is spot on with this one...any bigger, and it could present some problems...
Partial on my car is -3.1 with a load on it...and around -4.7 at idle...
I did notice that the adaptation seems to happen a little quicker now...
Moving a lot of air across the MAF too..194 g/sec...which is good!! hehe
Never went richer than 10.8 too...so life is good!
