in-tank fuel pump specs and pictures?
I have a new in-tank (I think) fuel pump I got as part of my used Del Rio kit. It came from a vendor who is no longer in business. It is new in the bag. Bosch 0 580 254 005
I can't find any specification on this thing and I can't find any specifications or pictures of the existing 225 TTQ fuel pump. My Bentley just shows a picture of the external carriage that I think the in-tank pump slips into.
-I need to know the flow rate and part number of the OEM in-tank pump. Maybe even a picture of the pump separate from the carriage?
-I also need to know if this thing I have Bosch 0 580 254 005 is a direct replacement and if it has a higher flow rate than the OEM.
I've googled this but didn't find any credible information. Help?! And Thanks!!

Hmmm. Well, what the heck do I have?

I assumed that this went inside the plastic housing shown in Rich's post. Am I way off base? Is this an in-line fuel pump? If so is the screen on the bottom for cooling? I just figure it was the pickup.
Yes, I'm a bonehead.

http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/99183/img_0720.jpg</a

Oh, maybe that's the other pump
quattro cars have a saddle shaped tank. The primary tank shown in Rich's post is in the passenger side of the tank, there's a secondary tank on the driver's side. That secondary tank is just used to move fuel from one side to the other and might be what you have there. It is definitely not the primary pump and since it has the screen on the bottom it doesn't seem likely that it is an inline pump.

that doesn't look like an inline...
If you can't figure it out reach out to the former owner of the kit, before he sold it to the "buisness that is out of buisness", / some of the other owners of DelRio packages and get their input. You've always got WickedMotorsports who might be able to put you on the right track or Jeff Moss.
Since there really is no "Kit" for a DelRio each fueling option is different so they may not be any help to you.

One end of the pump has a big screen and no hose barb. It is defintely an in-tank
fuel pump.
A BMW mechanic just stopped by and I showed him. He said he has replaced similar units in BMWs and thought P-cars had a similar setup. The silver cylindar should fit inside the plastic thing.
Now the question of the specs and if it is THE fuel pump that will fit inside the OEM plastic fuel pump housing?
