TB change 225 vs. 180 question
Time to change the TB on our 180, "non quattro" TT. It's an '01. How much different (if any) is it to change the TB on this car vs. the write up at this link for the 225 Quattro here and our TT? If it is significantly different, does anyone have a link to a good write up for this job?
Ohh, and thoughts on the differences between the kits from dieselgeek vs. ecs? The prices are about the same from what I can tell. TIA, Mike |
For the kit you want the dieselgeek >>>
it comes with water pump puller screws that make the job alot easier.

Funny enough, I just read something like that on the thread you started earlier! LOL. Thanks.

Yes, Very nice kit and..>>
There should be no difwerences between the 225 and 180, other than you might have to pull off the pancake pipe down below (in lieu of the Charge pipe up top on the 225)

sweet...and thanks!

The ECS kit doesn't include the stretch bolts for the motor mount...>>
Also, the only difference between the 225 and 180 is the charge pipe. The 180 goes from the rear to the passenger side below where the 225 is on top.
