Technical Question re: percolating gas tank sound??? I didn't put Starbucks in the tank! (more)
Put about 200 miles on the TT in day trip. Fueled up 50 miles from the front door (home) on return. For about 30 minutes, I heard what sounded like a percolating sound from the area of the gas tank. What caused this? (Did I fuel up with high test dark roast?) Seriously, the gurgling noise was a bit unsettling. Perhaps someone has an answer for me?

I will assume you have the quattro. I cannot speak for the TT (yet) but in my A4 quattro, the gas tank is divided into two sections with a pump system between. In my car, when I start it I can hear it gurgling, presumably pumping gas from one side to the other. I would surmise it is a similar mechanism in the TT.
