ive been rather seriously considering getting a new ttr lately to reside next to my s4. i went and drove one last week and absolutly loved it. then, i go on the minnesota audi club drive and check out jeff's roadster. i have to have one! my questions are: what quirks/problems are most common? i have an s4 and know for a fact that audis can be tempermental. with talk of 2002 models, should i wait? what (if this is known yet) changes will there be? what are the best mods for this car?
any help is greatly appreciated. i hope to join your ranks soon.

I've read a bit of the S4 forum, and have seen the blown turbo threads. So far there haven't been any major problems like that outside of the FW drive 5 speed trannies. Of course, the diverter valves are garbage, and need to be replaced. The most popular mods seem to be chips/exhaust/coilovers as well as cosmetic additions (armrests, wheels, body armor, etc).

I'm not to sure about the 2002 models. I believe the audio system is upgraded, and there is a wider color palette to choose from.

I'll bet you could get it cheap, it's been there since October.

is it a 225? do they make a roadster with the 180?

It is a 225, yes, there is a 180 Roadster, but it's FrontTrack only.
