Maybe you are confusing "Aviator Gray Pearl Effect" and "Lake Silver Metallic"

Default Nope, I'm aware of these differences, but...

Some of the Cars I have seen advertised described themselves as 'Aluminium Silver'.

I guess in some lights the Silver looks extremely reflective huh ??

The link attached has Audi itself describe some cars as aluminium Silver.

(dont bother with postcode, click on national search, ok, select car etc..)

Regards

Default I wouldn't have thought that much ....

...though a clean car is distinctly different looking from a dirty one even though it may not look dirty...if you see what I mean

Default "Aluminum Silver" was on '99 A4's. It is not an option for TT which goes by "Lake Silver" and

"Lake Silver" happens to be the same color code as the "Light Silver" found on '99.5 and '00 A4's.
My friend Jeff has a 99 A4 in Aluminum Silver and next to my Light Silver '99.5 A4(RIP) and Lake Silver TT his has a purple/blueish hint of color to it. They are both silver, but I think the Light/Lake is more metallic and brighter in the sun. They are both GREAT silver colors. He likes the aluminum and I am very happy with the Lake Silver. To each his own!

I will admit that it seems like the 2000 Jettas and Passats seem to be a much brighter silver than the Audis, but I believe they are the same color. Haven't confirmed this one yet.

In case it matters I am talking about cars and colors in the US.
