I thought they were 6 cylinder, I am i wrong?

Yes, the engines are 4 cylinder, 5 valve and turbocharged.
Thus more economical in fuel consuption and perfect for such a compact car.

Well, no official US prices have been announced as of yet but rumors point between $38,000 - $40,000. That's for the coupe. Roadster should be a coupla thousand more.

Default I can't see paying $5K for the upgraded engine...
a base 180TTQ runs $33K (or so). If so, I'll just get a Mustang Cobra.

You won't be. The upgraded engine and 6 speed transmission will be costing you about $2K. Remember that the 225 will come standard with many of the items that are extra cost options on the 180 models.
