Default think this is bad?

i removed my rear left axle but it was kind of stuck to the rear final drive and when i pulled it out, the gear came out with it? can i just stick it back in? i noticed when i did if i turn the right wheel to the right the left spins to the left. or when i turn the left to the right the right spins to the left.

Default Huh?

ok, so you removed the screws holding the inner CV to the output flange, then what? It was still stuck and when you pulled it came out with the output flange and shaft?

Default That's how it normally works...

If you manually turn one wheel while the car is in the air, the other side turns the opposite way. That's how it's always done on all AWD drive vehicles that I've had.

not too big a deal, it happens some times. they are simply held in w/ a clip, just pop it back in

Default yup. i eventually hit the inter cv with a mallet and broke the rust seal. but the inner

gear shaft came out with it. it sticks out about..8 inches. i can push it back in but it would probably require a few light hits with the mallet to pop it back into where it was before and create the seal against the output flange on the haldex unit. want a pic?

Default nah, just pop it back in like CarsluTT said.... it's held in place with a circlip

so it'll take a bit of persuasion but nothing abusive.
