Default Thinking of installing....

my Alcons myself, I have never done such a big brake job myself before though, just the basic of pad changing. I have already STF, but couldn't find any write ups. Anyone have a write up? What tools do I need to get the job done?

Thanks

Default I had never done one when I put on my Brembo's. I say go for it - it's not that difficult.

Here is my write-up, the Alcons should be quite similar.

http://public.fotki.com/mcphill/audi_stuff/brakes_and_suspension/ecs_tuning_stage_2/</a

Default like Mike says...not that difficult. only difficulty lies in bleeding the brake lines and later

when you need to bed the pads...but otherwise, i think its pretty straightforward.

with proper tools, if you can get the bolts off, the rest is relatively easy. i only have an electric impact wrench, but that allows me to remove the calipers and change rotors/pads.

Default I installed my stoptechs and it was one of the easiest installs I've done

They came with very detailed instructions with pics, one of the few install I wasn't running back and forth between car and PC

lets see what do i need from ecs:

Brake Bleeder
Caliper tool

what should i use to keep the pads quiet?

i already got torque wrenches and the a impact wrench. Anything else I might need?

Also the alcon rears didn't come with instructions on how to remount the caliper? So umm I don't know. =T
