Default Thirty thousand mile maintenance gone bad.

First I must say that my 01QR has been trouble free. Talk about luck or maybe just because I'm coming from a British car background currently owning a Jag XJS and a Range Rover, the TT hasn't missed a beat. That said it went to the dealer for the 30K oil change and check up. All was well for about 1K. The other day on my way home from work the low oil indicator went off at about the same time smoke started to pour out from under the car. Shut it down only to find oil pooling under the car. Checked the dip stick... ZERO. Called the Audi Road Service and a while later the poor TT was off to the dealer. Since they have a night shift it was looked at as soon as it came off the flat bed. Seems the oil drain plug was not tighten enough at the last service and backed off letting all the oil drain. GREAT! They documented it on the work order. Ran some computer tests, etc. Cleaned the oil off the bottom and engine pan. Even delivered it back to my house. I took it on a nice long drive to Canada over the long weekend all seems fine. In fact it seems to run better than before...... Contacted AOA received a case number and the rep said that if anything was wrong it would show up in the next 20K or 1.5 years left on the warranty. Suggested I might want to take to another dealer for a second opinion. The dealer did document the problem and has stated they will take care of any problem related to this. Anything I am missing? I plan on keeping the car way past the warranty period.

Default That's so bad. Glad the car is okay. How irresponsible can someone be...geez.

I mean, human error is one thing...but the damn oil drain plug?!?!

sounds like everything should be fine, and the appropriate steps were taken.

I doubt there will be any long term issues, good that you shut down when you did.
