For those of you following my A3 headlight story....I think we have a resolution....

Well, if you didn't catch what the problem was, I linked it below.

I stopped into the dealership today on my way home from work and spoke with the General Manager. Prior to this I had spoken to the president of our local ACNA chapter, who happens to know the GM very well. They had a conversation and I was told to stop in.

I stop in, and the GM was more than apologetic. He said it should have never happened that way, and he just told me to say what I wanted and he would do it. So, I said, that I want what I paid for as per my order.

He went back to talk to the parts dept and when he came back he said that it would probably be a large hassle to get all the parts, the wiring, etc.....So, he proposed, that he would just order me a brand new, 2007 exactly the way I wanted it and when it comes in, just do an even swap. He also offered to give me free maintenance on the 2007 which would not normally be included (it stopped after the 2006's). Basically, I'll just be paying for the use of this car until the new one comes in.

So, in the end, I'm very happy to finally get what we paid for, and I want to thank Darren, the GM of Parktown Imports in St. Louis for making things right and also, Mike, the St. Louis ACNA president for helping as well!

Original story
