Default Those of you with painted headlight housings....

Did you clearcoat or not? My body shop guy thinks the clearcoat may interfear with the way the lighting was set up to work. As in a reflection that may possibly wash out the intensity of the headlight. Any validity to this? Steve?

Mine are sliver and clearcoated. No issues.

Default I did not use the clear...Im not sure about the clear interfering I just didnt want a real shinny

look to them though..Mine area a darker silver. I did have some bubbling of one side but have fixed since without issues

No problems here. You might have to re align the lights though.

I would think the clearcoat would look better, no?? Opinions. Clearcoat or no.

Default I think it does look better and matches it to the rest of the paint on the car.

Clearcoats tends to run more than paint so watch out for drip and run marks.
