For those of you with the quattro, can I make the "blank" button functional on dash?

For those of you with the quattro, can I make the "blank" button functional on dash?

Default Larry has modded that button into a cig. lighter...
complete with the OEM button cover. If I remember correctly, the wiring was a hassle though.
