Default Thoughts on the resale of high mileage TTR

I am looking at purchasing a TT Roadster for my daily driver, but am concerned about the resale of a (relatively) high mileage sports car in four years.

I would probably put on about 15k a year, so in four years I would be around 60k.

Will I get burned trying to sell this car with 60,000 miles? Thinking in terms of lower-mileage TTs which will likely be available when (if?!) I sell the car. I would guess that most TTs won't be daily drivers for 4 years, so many low mileage alternatives will be out there. But the TT has such good resale that I don't know. Or is leasing a better option for me?

If you buy or lease you will take a hit - I drive over 25,000 miles a year

Default Why are you getting rid of this car in 4 years?

I plan on driving this longer than four years... and will probably end up doing 20-25k per year on this car alone (Volvo ended up with approx. 25k last year even with the 13k I put on the TTR). I don't plan on selling the car until the mileage isn't really an option because the car is so old.

I figure I'll get rid of the Volvo way before I get rid of the TT. The TT is timeless even with high miles. :-)

After 4 years, the TT, even with high miles, will still be a dependable car in my eyes.

Default 14.5K in 8 months so far.

Who cares about resale value, I buy cars that I like to drive, drive them, and then get rid of them when they die.

That said, the TT is going to be the hand me down car for my kids, if I get them.
