Default Toe adjustment question

When I adjust the toe settings on the TT, do I have to remove the tie rod end from it's attachment point with the wheel bearing housing? or do I just loosen the tie rod end nut? Or, do I leave the tie rod end tight and just loosen the lock nut and turn at the hex flats? I want to add camber to the front wheels moving the ball joint location on the LCA. When I do this there is toe out and I need to correct this. Thanks

Default Just losen the Lock nut and turn the flats on the rod..

You'll need some way to measure what you're doing though....I'm assuming you have that covered?

Default Re: Just losen the Lock nut and turn the flats on the rod..

I haven't actually gotten that far yet. I am going to be doing some supspension modification to the TT in the next few weeks and am working on all the stuff I will need to do so that when I get to the actual weekend, I might be able to do the swap and initial setup efficiently. I see the pics. What is the plate you are using to check toe?
