Trading my A4 for a 2002 TT 225 Quattro w/ 15k
Well, after thinking it was hopeless of EVER getting a TT, because the dealers wanted to give me between 8k and 9k in trade for my 2001 1.8T Quattro non-sport, Auto, no sunroof, 71k miles and it's Orange (India Red). Rietzl Audi, where I purchased it, offered me almost $12k towards a 2002 TT 225 Quattro 6sp, Moro Blue, Bose, clear stone guard tape, 17" 5-spoke and only 15k miles. the BEST part! Audi Warranty until Feb 2008 or 100k...what peace-of-mind. I did a carfax and no problems were found. Oh, and the price is $26k (advertised price was $28.8k). I dive 25-30k a year, so having a 100k warranty made the deal for me.
Is this a good deal?

with the Audi Assured warranty it's a good deal, yes
without the warranty, you can probably find that car for a few thousand less, but Moro Blue is a hard to find colour, so i think the one you've found is a good deal!
congratulations! and post pics when you get it.

Re: Thanks!
I will post pics, but it's pretty bone stock looking, not there's anything wrong with that. TT is a thing of beauty.
They're even letting me swap my brand new Toyo (Z rated all season) Proxy 4 P225-45-17 tires over. I don't change with the seasons - I know I should though.
Thanks for your words of encouragement.

Re: congrats on the trade!! you'll love it....OT question...
Yes...good observation. Right now I have Sabre sabatoge (One of the Bont Guys went independant and hand made these). $450 for the boots. He stopped making them, and I'm really kicking myself in the ars for not buying two pair. I'm using AirPro frames, Bones ceramic bearings and 80mm Hyper G+ wheels. I'm 42, so I don't race...just chase girls on road bikes. I may upgrade to a frame for 84mm wheels. These days I seem to be on my road bike more. It's funny, I live in providence, but still like skating in Boston along the Charles River, and when I'm done, so many people stop and comment on my skates, then look up at my orange A4 and comment on that. I hope the attention continues with my Moro Blue TT. lol

awesome
i started speed skating about seven months ago and have raced in vegas and here in sac. it's been a lot of fun, but i can't compete too well with the guys who don't have full time jobs and can dedicate themselves to skating. trust me, the attention will continue with the tt. it's fun.
