Trip computer flashing "2:00 h"
I was tearing up the hill country around Austin, TX this weekend with some Audi Quattro club enthusiasts (who are wonderful people, by the way) and noticed my trip computer flashing this message....it went away when I switched to mpg or another parameter. Anyone know what this means? Perhaps 2 hours since I drove the speed limit?
P.S. many thanks to my "wingman" for covering my "6"....

your trip computer was telling you that you'd driven for two hours and it was time to take a break..
you can simply reset it, like the rest of us.
sounds like you're having fun!

You know, you're right...that was the first time......
...the first time I have driven my car out of town instead of just to work, and you're right. I had a blast! As a matter of fact, one of the guys in our group asked me if I had done modifications to my TT. (I guess I was going a little fast...)
I drove from Austin to Houston today in an hour and 45 minutes....2 guys jumped on the bandwagon behind me, I guess figuring I would bear the brunt of the radar beam.....my wife thinks my vanity plate should read "TIKETT"....

It was a pleasure covering your 6
Man that was a fun drive. I've yet to have that much fun in the car for that many consecutive miles. I need to get on the track!! Those roads were great but I felt like we were going too fast for some of the drivers (demonstrated by a spin) and that there could have been better communication. Next time I'm going to buy a set of 2-way radios.
I also had a GREAT run back to Houston with a 2.8Q A4. We got back to Houston by 6:20 (not bad considering it was almost 4 when we left Lakeview). We both had radar protection and pulled each other along. We hit triple digits for long sections (clear roads a lot of the way:-P) and pulled in three times when the 50 was sensed. It's an amazing feeling to be over 120, get the warning, slow to 65, see the cop and then pull out to 100 again...
So, you wanna meet up again some time??

Another trip? Of course! Thanks for the tip on the A/C codes.....
That certainly wasn't in the manual! I guess I'm going to have to get the owner's manual on CD-ROM and do a global search before I post a question....
Let me know whenever you want to get together again.

the OBC codes will not be listed in any manual. I can give you a copy of the codes I got from an
Audi tech. Can't say who he was since I'm sure that he was supposed to give them out. AoA are strange about information (heck they even pulled the tech bulletins off the web!)...
Drop me a line and we'll meet. I'm down for anything from a drive to a meal/drink. Let me know.
