Trip Computer Functions
I have a 00 180.
I thought I would be able to see the current trip info only rather than a total (since last reset). Is this possible?
My wife has a 00 Passat and her display resets only after the car is off for some time. And I assume it similar parts to my TT.

Re: If you mean a dual trip function, TT does not have that.
Not sure if that's what i mean...
Just that i would like to see the current trip time, not a total that I end up seeing now which ends up maxing at 23:59

Passats have a dual trip computer, much more useful than ours...>>
For those who don't know, the Passat's trip computer keeps 2 separate sets of data (trip time, avg mpg, avg mph, etc.) one short-term and one long-term. You cycle between them by tapping that button on the bottom surface of the wiper stalk (the one that cycles our trip computer display).
The <b>long-term</b> one resets manually, with a long press of the button under the wiper stalk, although you clear all settings with one button press rather than clearing each value separately.
The <b>short-term</b> one resets itself after the car's been off for more than a couple of hours, essentially resetting every day for you, but not when you simply turn off the car to run into a store or grab lunch. It's very useful, more so than our single-memory version.
