Default TT-East 2019: Mostly Maine - 9/30/19 - 10/4/19

Join us for the 19th annual TT-East where we'll travel through Maine and the White Mountains of NH.

The first part of the journey will be a one day trip starting from Portland, ME. We will make our way along Maine's rocky coast where we'll stop at some of the state's famous lighthouses and the summit of Mount Battie with it's sweeping views of Camden Harbor and Penobscot Bay. The day will end at our first destination in Bar Harbor, Maine.

We will spend the next day in Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park. Optional drives include a sunrise drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain and a drive through DownEast Maine including lobster rolls, the beautiful Bold Coast, and the Schoodic Peninsula section of Acadia. The serene and wonderful Schoodic Point is one of those very special places that shouldn't be missed.

On Wednesday we will leave Bar Harbor for a two day trip to our final destination in New Hampshire's White Mountains.

The first day will take us through Bangor into the Maine Highlands where we will stop for lunch overlooking Moosehead Lake, the state's largest body of water covering 74,890 acres. We'll then move down the Kennebec & Moose River Valley where we will travel along the Old Canada Road scenic byway. In the fall, the drive along the spectacular winding and climbing portion between Bingham and The Forks, overlooking Wyman Lake, is unsurpassed.

After an overnight stop in Wilton, the final leg of the journey will first take us into Maine's Lakes and Mountains region. Located along the Appalachian Mountain ridgeline, the Height of Land is this sections' showstopper, with stunning views of Mooselookmeguntic and Upper Richardson lakes, Toothaker Island and the richly forested mountainsides. The route then drops to rolling valleys and hills eventually following the Bear River where we'll stop for lunch at Screw Auger Falls in Grafton Notch State Park. The remainder of the day will be spent travelling along the exceptionally scenic Androscoggin River and through the secluded Evan's Notch before we'll reach our final destination in Jackson, NH.

The last day of TT-East will be spent in the Mount Washington Valley area. After a drive along the Kancamagus Highway and a tour of the Northern White Mountains, our journey will end on a high note, or in this case a high peak, after we drive the 7.6 mile road to the 6,288 foot summit of Mount Washington, the highest point in the Northeast.

Great people, great cars, and great roads is what makes TT-East the special event that it is. Please join us for the 19th annual TT-East so you can experience it for yourself. TT-East, by drivers for drivers.
