tt needs help
hi can anyone help please have a 2000 that is not a happy car it keeps blowing number 5 fuse then it won't start for a while when it heats up then after it does heat up and you are running it it will start to misfire .!!!! have not long had the car and have not long fitted a M.A.F. sensor to it anybody any ideas please

To help diagnose if it is the MAF, just unplug it for a few days. The ECU will
revert to standard maps for air and fuel. If you still have issues, you are going to need to find someone with a VAGCOM to help to diagnose.
Not sure about the fuse issue, do you know what is on that circuit? Again, a VAGCOM scan would probably help find the cause.

have already replaced the maf unit ...... and have had it on a VAGCOM as well as a couple of other readers ... there are a number of thing on this fuses its only a 7.5 amp fuse so it must be going relays if I had a wiring diagram maybe I could track it back..... as soon as you put the ign. on it blows the fuse soits a dead short somewhere but not easy to find . but thanks for your help

No offense, but you have not given us a single further piece of information. If you want us to
blindly guess, we can. Otherwise you need to post up what you have found using the tools you have used so far!
