Default Can you keep the stock boot?

And how difficult is the install for someone of average tech ability? What is involved?

Say on a scale of one to five wrenches.

Default Short Shift - Installation Difficulty

I would like to know the answer to this question too.
I think I have above average skills but I don't want to tear in to something that only a skilled mechanic should do.
If Guiltty is reading this maybe he can comment !

Default I know it reduces throws up and down but how about left and right?

Also, what is actually replaced? The actual shifter or the arm thingy on the tranny?
