Default TT-West 2007 trip planning... which route is preferred?

Route 1 through Canada and northern states...

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/52707/tt-west_route1.jpg">

<a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=stamford,+ct&daddr=Sudbury,+O ntario,+Canada+to:Minneapolis,+MN+to:Billings,+mon tana+to:spokane,+wa+to:Ashland,+OR+97520&layer=&sl l=44.351025,-95.482188&sspn=41.384225,82.265625&ie=UTF8&z=4&ll= 42.811522,-94.306641&spn=42.354674,82.265625&om=1">route 1</a>

Route 2 through the middle of America...

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/52707/tt-west_route2.jpg">

<a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=stamford,+ct&daddr=columbus,+ oh+to:tulsa,+ok+to:salt+lake+city,+ut+to:ashland,+ or&layer=&sll=39.164141,-98.085937&sspn=44.5349,82.265625&ie=UTF8&z=4&om=1" >route 2</a>

Is one route nicer than the other? Who is along each route?

Default I'll probably be doing Route 2 but a couple weeks ahead of you

If you do route 2 there's an alternate last leg you could do thru Nevada that is highly entertaining.
