Default TTer compares a GT3.

I'm down at the Dealer this past week and they have a brand new yellow GT3. It sold in like 1 day for about $5k over the list of $104k. It's locked and waiting for pickup that afternoon. The Mgr. tells me that the guy who bought it is shipping it to Arizona for his 25 year old son to drive. I think to myself, this guy may be rich, but he isn't that smart.

Yesterday I stop at Dealer and the gorgeous yellow GT3 is still there. The Mgr. tells me that the buyer backed out before he picked it up. The reason...... The insurance for his son to drive it was like $26k a year!!!

Anyway I get to take this thing out and was truly impressed with the naturally aspirated 380hp. Damn can this thing fly!!! Suspension is really low and tight (don't get close to any curbs). I even got used to the looks of the huge double wing on the back. The interior still sucks compared to the TT.

I want a 300hp TT !!!!!!!

Default I hate you. -->

Just kidding... It's nice to hear how nice great our cars are. Now you just have to drive a GT2 and let us all know how that one stacks up.

Where are you, anyway? Last time I was in Phoenix, I actually saw a few GT3's... Which makes me wonder why someone would buy something in another state (?) and ship it. Also saw a few Vanquishes (Vanquish? Vanquishi?) and a GT2 sitting outside a dealer, among other things.

Thanks for the cool review. I still hate you. At least, until I drive a GT3.

NO SALES TAX in Anchorage and it costs $500 to ship a car to the lower 48. Make sense now? :-)

Default Nah... I figured it out... even better than that.

One hell of a cool roadtrip! Automobile mag DID have that one article on the 10 best places to speed in the world... 2 of which would be possibly on the way... (Oct 2002)

"Mrs. Orcutt's Driveway"
- Parallels I-40 East of Barstow, CA
- Straight and level for miles (and deserted)
- Used for magazine testing
- Car: Enzo Ferrari

SR 447, Wadsworth to Gerlach, NV
- Unlikely to see many others, let alone a cop
- Highly recommended by unnamed Automobile staffer who saw 170+ (!) in a 911 Turbo
- Car: Dodge Viper

Other locations:
US90 - West Texas
Northern Territories - Australia
RN3 - Argentina
Isle of Man - Great Britain
C339 - Spain
Col du Mont Cenis - France/Italy
Nurburgring - Germany
Autobahn - Germany (duh!)

Hey,
Got my 2000 coupe FWD a year ago July...Silver Lake/ebony 21,000 at the buy time...Is it my imagination or do the 225 guys have more problems with their cars? Is that they drive harder and mess with them too much?

True. Outside of town there is not much enforcement of speed limits.

Default Either way, I think I'm going to drive to dealers this week to drive -->

cars that aren't mine... did you know the guy or something? I have a feeling that, TT or not, if I went to a dealer and tried driving their GT3, they'd laugh at me. Just like when I showed up at a Ferrari dealer in AZ in a Neon. Ok, okay... so they didn't laugh. Just ignored me for a while.

Default These wheels would sure look nice on a T.T...

Don't think I want to know what they would cost tho.
