Default TTR eats batteries

I have had my TTR 180 FWD since 2000, and so far I have had to replace the battery in 2004, 2007, and today. My TT needs a new battery every 3 years!

I am glad Sears has an 8 years warranty, which was applied pro-rated. Their serviceman thought that's not normal, a battery should last 6+ years.

BTW, I live in California, so it should last even longer.

Is this normal or should I get it checked at the stealer?

Not normal, check you alternator charge voltage. Should be about 13 volts, I have seen them go up to 15 volts which will cause the battery to fail prematurely.

Surprised Sears did not check it.
